FLOATING: Peds ED does have to occasionally float to the Pediatric admission floors, travelers are expected to work per staffing needs. Floating to the adult ED is possible as well, but optional. Admission holds: during high census periods, admission holds maybe boarded in the Peds ED for longer then normal. Trauma/resuscitation experience preferred Travelers are expected to work two out of the three winter holiday bundles Special Equipment : Bar Code Medication scanning Tier2 Travel Compliance Compliance document deadline is two Friday s before starting (10 days prior to start). RTO : RTO Restrictions : Client prefers that travelers only request one holiday bundle max (holiday bundles include: Block 1: Thanksgiving the day after; Block 2: Christmas Eve Christmas Day 5 ; Block 3: NYE NYD ; however if the traveler requires more than this, RTO will be requested upon offer. No RTO can be requested during the first 7 days of the contract or on the last day of the contract. If traveler can cut their RTO down to just 7 days or less for all units (except for PCU, which is RTO 10 days or less), and there are no major holidays included, then AM can automatically approve RTO without asking the client and speed up the offer process. Please encourage clinician to cut RTO down to 7 days or less to speed up process if possible. Otherwise RTO will be requested upon offer. Marketing submissions : Facility will NOT accept marketing submissions, even if they are a return traveler and the unit manager reached out to them and asked them to return. Please pay attention to NOVA and only submit over once you see a need open up. *75 mileage radius in effect please redirect if clinician lives within 75 miles of facility Please ensure traveler has a (non-local) Driver s License uploaded to their file ASAP as this is a facility compliance requirement. If they do NOT have a valid DL, they must provide a written statement outlining their transportation plan to get to and from the hospital. Please note that personal transportation is required for travelers working at the Metropolitan Detention Center. Due to its location public transportation and ride-sharing are not available for that location License can pend at the time of submission For all Behavioral Health and related positions : if not yet MOAB certified, traveler will take in-person MOAB certification course as part of orientation during first week. If traveler does not pass the course, their contract will immediately be terminated. * If your traveler already has the MOAB cert in hand, please send a copy with submission and there will be a $5 rate bump upon verification offer. PCU, ICU And L D Units 36 48 hour contract available, please indicate travelers preference with submittal Certified Comprehensive Stroke Center Min yrs of Exp: 1-2 yrs for most units. (ER requires previous travel exp. 99% of the time) P/F Testing is required Travelers can work up to 12 consecutive month before needing to take a break between assignments Perm Employees applying for travel : Allowed to return as travelers if they have been out of the system for 12 months or more. Effective 9/2022 OT Policy : OT must be approved by client before being worked. Approval for OT is rare.
