This healthcare job offers the chance to make a real impact in a fast-paced emergency department while enjoying the vibrant culture and scenic beauty of Albuquerque./n /n/nJob Details – ER RN Travel Contract/n /n - Location: Albuquerque, NM 87106 (New Mexico nursing jobs)/n - Facility Type: Level I Trauma, Teaching, and Children's Hospital/n - Assignment Length: 13 weeks/n - Start Date: January 12, 2026/n - Shifts: Night shifts, 4x12-hour (19:00 - 07:30) or 3x12-hour (36 or 48 hours/week)/n - Estimated Weekly Salary: $1800-$1840/n - Patient Ratio: 1:5/n - Guaranteed Hours: 36/48/40 hours per week (facility may call off up to 3 shifts per 13-week assignment)/n - Orientation: 24 hours/n - Parking: Free on-site parking/n - Charting System: Cerner/n /n/nRegistered Nurse Qualifications/n /n - Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (NM license can be pending at time of submission)/n - Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Room nursing experience (Level I Trauma experience preferred; 1.5 years considered for exceptional candidates)/n - Certifications required: ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC (must have TNCC prior to submission), NIHSS (can be obtained before compliance deadline)/n - Travel nursing experience strongly preferred/n - No local candidates within 75 miles/n - COVID-19 vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions accepted with documentation)/n - Flu vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions accepted)/n - Ability to float to Adult PCU and ED Holding as needed/n - Comfortable with high admit rates and ED holding/n /n/nER Nurse Responsibilities/n /n - Deliver high-quality, compassionate emergency nursing care to a diverse patient population/n - Administer medications, including IV medications, following safety protocols and barcode scanning/n - Accurately document and communicate clinical findings/n - Manage trauma, resuscitation, and acute medical emergencies/n - Perform triage, phlebotomy, arterial and central line management, and procedural sedation/n - Care for patients with neuro-trauma, orthopedic trauma, spinal cord injuries, and traumatic brain injuries/n - Float to Adult PCUs and ED Holding as required/n - Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including respiratory therapy, radiology, pharmacy, and social services/n - Maintain compliance with hospital policies and participate in ongoing training and orientation modules/n /n/n /n Albuquerque is a top destination for travel nurses, offering outdoor adventure, cultural festivals, and a welcoming healthcare community.
