CRRT, ECMO procedure experience, Vents, working knowledge of
inotropic drips Description: This position requires a registered
nurse in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit. The start date for this
assignment is January 12, 2026. Shifts are 3 days, 12 hours each,
or 4 days, 12 hours each. Ratios are 1 nurse to 2 patients. The
nurse will float within scope to meet unit needs. Floating to the
Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) is required. Pediatric
travelers may also assist in the Pediatric Emergency Department.
The nurse will not take care of Emergency Department patients but
may assist with IVs and medications. Weekend shifts are mandatory,
with 4 weekend shifts required during the contract. Experience in a
Level I Trauma facility is a must. The nurse must have recent PICU
experience within the last 2 years. Strong trauma skills are
essential for this role. The daily census in the unit is 15, with
up to 20 beds available. Patient age groups include neonates,
infants, and adolescents. Patient diagnoses include respiratory
distress/failure, renal failure, trauma, and multi-system organ
failure. The facility operates as a Level I Trauma, teaching
hospital with a total of 554 staffed beds. All personnel must have
their own transportation. Candidates may float to the NICU, and
experience in that area is preferred but not required.
