Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: PACU - Post Anesthesia Care - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 12/01/2025 - Duration: 13 weeks - 48 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, days - Employment Type: Travel Job Description American Traveler is seeking an experienced PACU RN with Level 1 trauma and telemetry experience for an inpatient position requiring pre and post-procedure skills. Responsibilities - Inpatient PACU setting within a Level I Trauma and teaching hospital - Care for patients pre and post Cath Lab and IR procedures - Nurse to patient ratio is typically 1:2 in the PACU and 1:3-5 when floating to the holding area - Day shift position with 4x12-hour shifts from 10:00 to 22:30 - Weekend coverage required one weekend per month - On-call requirement of 1-2 overnight shifts per month on a 4-week schedule - Floating to the PACU holding area required within scope - Cerner EMR is utilized - Provide pre and post-anesthesia care for cardiovascular and interventional radiology patients - Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams in a high-acuity, academic environment - Black scrubs required - Parking is free for staff - Block scheduling is not accommodated - Approved RTO greater than 7 days requires client approval; no RTO allowed 12/24 or 12/25 - Holiday time-off requests are limited to one designated holiday bundle - Compliance documents must be completed promptly; drug screening required - Perm employees may return as travelers if separated from the system for at least 12 months Requirements - Active NM or compact state RN license (license may be pending at time of consideration) - Minimum 2 years of RN experience, including Level 1 trauma and telemetry unit experience - BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required (No RQI certifications accepted) - COVID vaccination required; medical and religious exemptions considered with appropriate documentation - Must reside more than 75 miles from the facility - Pre and post Cath Lab/IR procedural experience required - First-time travelers accepted upon client screening Benefits - High Pay and Bonuses - Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options - 401(k) Plan - Weekly Payroll Deposit - Free Online CEUs - Generous Housing Allowance - Travel and Licensure Reimbursements - Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy - Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-628955.
