Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: PACU - Post Anesthesia Care - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 11/17/2025 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, days - Employment Type: Travel Job Description American Traveler is hiring a PACU RN with at least 2 years of Level I trauma and telemetry experience for an inpatient role requiring pre/post cath and IR procedures. Responsibilities - Work in an inpatient PACU setting within a Level I Trauma and teaching hospital - Care for pre and post cath lab and interventional radiology (IR) procedure patients - Nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:2 with floating to holding area at a ratio of 1:3-5 - Day shift, 3x12-hour shifts (9:00-21:30), with one weekend shift per month - On-call required: 1-2 overnight calls per 4-week schedule - Must float within PACU department if needed - Uses Cerner EMR system - Must be comfortable providing care for pre and post cath and IR procedure patients - First-time travelers accepted upon client screening - Scrub color is black - Parking is free for staff - Holiday time off is restricted; no time off approved for 12/24-12/25 - Requests for time off longer than 7 days require approval - Orientation includes required modules completed via unit educators - Drug screen required within 30 days of start date - Perm staff may return as travelers after being away for 12 months or more Requirements - Active NM or compact RN license (pending accepted) - Minimum 2 years of nursing experience, including Level I trauma and telemetry experience - Certifications required: BCLS, ACLS, PALS (no RQI certifications allowed) - COVID vaccination required (religious and medical exemptions accepted with provider signature) - No local candidates within a 75-mile radius accepted - Pre/post cath and IR procedure experience required Benefits - High Pay and Bonuses - Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options - 401(k) Plan - Weekly Payroll Deposit - Free Online CEUs - Generous Housing Allowance - Travel and Licensure Reimbursements - Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy - Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-619467.
