Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: ICU - Intensive Care Unit - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 11/24/2025 - Duration: 13 weeks - 48 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel Job Description American Traveler is hiring a night shift ICU RN for a hospital assignment requiring a NM or compact RN license and recent ICU experience. Responsibilities - Position is in the ICU unit of a hospital setting - Night shifts are required, typically 4x12 hour shifts from 18:30 to 07:00 - Assignment length is 13 weeks with option of 36 or 48 hours per week - Float to MS, Stepdown, PCU, ER, or CVICU as needed, with a maximum of 4 patients while floating - ICU nurse to patient ratio is 1:2 - Weekend shifts are required - No on-call requirements - EPIC charting experience is preferred - Nurses may receive a brief orientation on floated units - Assigned online modules to be completed onsite during orientation, typically taking 4-6 hours - Holiday coverage may be required per hospital policy - Time off requests exceeding 3 days may not be approved and no time off is permitted during the first week of orientation - Candidates cannot apply as part of a pair or group Requirements - Active NM or compact RN license required at time of consideration - 1-2 years of ICU nursing experience preferred - First time travelers are accepted - Locals within a 50 mile radius are not eligible - Former permanent staff must have at least a 1 year separation before applying as a traveler Benefits - High Pay and Bonuses - Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options - 401(k) Plan - Weekly Payroll Deposit - Free Online CEUs - Generous Housing Allowance - Travel and Licensure Reimbursements - Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy - Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-628383.
