Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Med Surg - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 11/24/2025 - Duration: 13 weeks - 48 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel Job Description American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med/Surg night shift position requiring NM or compact license and recent med/surg experience. Responsibilities - Work in a hospital Med/Surg unit - Night shift with 4x12 hour shifts (18:30-07:00) - Option for 36 or 48 hours per week - Patient assignment averages 4-6 hours per RN for modules during orientation - Floating required to like units and as needed to unlike units to assist - Every other weekend coverage required - Uses Epic EMR; experience preferred but not required - First time travelers welcome - Assist on units outside home unit as needed based on facility needs - No more than 3 days requested time off (RTO) will be automatically approved; no RTO during the first week of orientation - Must wear any color scrubs with no logos - Brief orientation provided for floating units - Travel pairs and groups are not accepted Requirements - Active NM or compact RN license required at time of consideration - Minimum 1 year of full-time recent Med/Surg RN experience required, 1-2 years preferred - Current BLS certification required - Epic EMR experience preferred - Must not have been a permanent staff member within the past year at the facility - Candidates within a 50-mile radius are not eligible Benefits - High Pay and Bonuses - Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options - 401(k) Plan - Weekly Payroll Deposit - Free Online CEUs - Generous Housing Allowance - Travel and Licensure Reimbursements - Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy - Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-628374.
