Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: PCU - Progressive Care Unit - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 11/17/2025 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel Job Description American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Progressive Care/Telemetry Unit night shift position requiring a NM or compact RN license and recent PCU experience. Responsibilities - Work in a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) with telemetry monitoring - Unit size is 18 or more beds - Night shifts, 12 hours each, for a total of 36 hours per week (3x12s) - Weekend and on-call coverage required as needed - Floating to departments or locations within 20 miles is required - Epic EMR experience is preferred - Direct patient care including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation for assigned patients - Collaborate with interdisciplinary team and participate in care coordination - Administer prescribed medications and treatments and document care according to protocols - Supervise LPNs and unlicensed assistive personnel as part of the team structure - Basic Cardiac Arrhythmia testing is administered onsite during orientation; failure to pass on the second attempt results in contract termination - Holiday shift coverage may be required - Radius rule applies: candidates must live more than 50 miles from facility location; local candidates are not eligible Requirements - Active New Mexico or compact RN license required - Minimum of two years current experience in an 18 bed telemetry/progressive care unit - Must have completed at least one previous 13-week travel assignment - BLS and ACLS certifications required from American Heart Association, American Health and Safety, or American Red Cross - Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) required - Must provide or pass a Basic Cardiac Arrhythmia Assessment (BCA) with one retake allowed - Returning former perm staff must have a one-year gap before being considered for travel assignments Benefits - High Pay and Bonuses - Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options - 401(k) Plan - Weekly Payroll Deposit - Free Online CEUs - Generous Housing Allowance - Travel and Licensure Reimbursements - Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy - Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-626784.
