PCU RN Job Details - Job Title: PCU Registered Nurse (RN) – Travel Nursing Contract - Location: Albuquerque, NM 87102 (New Mexico nursing jobs) - Facility: Heart Hospital – Progressive Care Unit (PCU) - Contract Length: 13 weeks (Start: November 24, 2025 – End: February 23, 2026) - Shift: Night shifts, 12 hours (18:30 – 07:00) - Weekly Hours: 36 (option for 48 hours available) - Estimated Weekly Pay: $1700 – $1740 - Unit Size: 55 beds - Patient Ratio: 1:4 - EMR: EPIC electronic medical records - Scrub Color: Any (no logo required) PCU Registered Nurse Qualifications - Active New Mexico or Compact RN license (required at time of submission) - Minimum 1 year of recent PCU or step-down nursing experience (2 years preferred) - Cardiovascular nursing experience required - BLS and ACLS certifications required; CPI certification preferred - First-time travel nurses welcome - Ability to float to similar clinical units as needed - Willingness to work rotating weekend shifts - Strong clinical skills in cardiac telemetry, central line care, chest tubes, feeding tube management, blood product administration, and wound care PCU RN Responsibilities - Provide high-quality nursing care to adult and geriatric patients with cardiovascular conditions (CHF, STEMI/NSTEMI, post-cardiac surgery, etc.) - Monitor and interpret cardiac telemetry and dysrhythmias - Administer blood products, cardiac drips, and follow heparin protocols - Manage central lines, chest tubes, feeding tubes, and wound care - Perform procedural sedation and patient monitoring - Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including physical therapy, respiratory therapy, pharmacy, and rapid response teams - Float to similar nursing units within scope as needed - Document patient care using EPIC EMR system Apply now to join our dedicated healthcare team and experience the best of travel nursing jobs in Albuquerque, New Mexico!
