Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Stepdown - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 07/28/2025 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, days - Employment Type: Travel Position Details - Duration: Minimum 13 weeks - Start Date: ASAP - Shift: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–5:00 PM (based on prior SRHS context; specific shift details to be confirmed) - Guaranteed Hours: Based on hours signed (based on prior SRHS context; specific hours to be confirmed) - Floating Between Units: No (based on prior SRHS context; to be confirmed) - On-Call Required: No (based on prior SRHS context; to be confirmed) - Weekends Required: No (based on prior SRHS context; to be confirmed) - Block Schedules Required: No (based on prior SRHS context; to be confirmed) - Expected Ratios: Not specified (18 bed telemetry/progressive care unit) Job Summary - Utilize the nursing process to provide direct patient care to an assigned group during a shift. - Ensure safe, effective, patient-centered, timely, efficient, and equitable care. - Assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and document patient needs, actions, and responses. - Coordinate patient care with patients, families, and the healthcare team. - Initiate and document appropriate protocols and standards of care. - Administer medications and treatments per physician orders or protocols, documenting per policy. - Identify and meet patient/family learning and discharge needs from admission through care episode. - Supervise LPNs and non-licensed assistive personnel clinically. Required Skills & Experience - Experience: Minimum 2 years in an 18 bed telemetry/progressive care unit. - Travel Experience: Must have completed at least one 13-week travel assignment. - Skills: Team player, flexible, accustomed to fast-paced environments. - Testing: Must pass a Basic Cardiac Arrhythmia (BCA) test onsite during the first week: - One re-test opportunity if failed; a second failure results in contract cancellation with applicable fees. Preferred Skills & Experience - Epic EMR experience preferred.
