Job Title: ICU RN - Nights Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: ICU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours (19:00 - 07:30) Experience: 2 years (First Time Travelers accepted with 2-3 years in Progressive ICU) License: Valid RN license (required at time of submission) Certifications: ACLS, BLS, CRRT Must-Have: Must be 50 miles from facility, Floating is required, Rotating weekend shifts Description: The ICU Registered Nurse provides comprehensive nursing care to critically ill patients. Patient ratios in the ICU are 1:2 and in Intermediate Care (IMC) are 1:4. The role involves caring for patients with diagnoses such as ARDS, sepsis, congestive heart failure, overdose, and post-operative complications. Additional care involves OB pre and post-operative patients. The nurse will manage high-risk surgical patients and those undergoing dialysis, including CRRT. The position necessitates strong critical thinking and multitasking abilities. Travelers will receive brief orientation on the unit prior to starting. Certification in CRRT is preferred, as well as CPI, NRP, PALS, and NCC. All travelers must meet floating requirements as needed based on facility needs.
