TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Labor/Delivery RN in Albuquerque, New Mexico, 87106! Pay Information $2,720 per week About The Position Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Family Birthing Center/Labor & Delivery Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 0700-1900 Hours per Shift: 36.00 Experience: Two (2) years current experience required License: State Nursing License or Compact State Nursing License Certifications: BLS, NRP, AWHONN Intermediate or Advanced Fetal Monitoring Certifications Must-Have: - Baby Nurse experience - Ability to pass BCA testing during the first week of assignment Description: Assess all triage patients over 20 weeks. Utilize obstetric triage acuity tools. Conduct labor assessments and evaluations. Perform fetal evaluation and assessments. Evaluate labor at term, signs of preterm labor, signs and symptoms of preeclampsia, rupture of membranes, decreased fetal movement, preterm premature rupture of membranes, vaginal bleeding, and acute and critical conditions. If an emergency medical condition is determined, stabilize the patient for delivery or transfer to a higher level of care if needed. Provide labor assessment, evaluation, and care during the intrapartum phase. Administer medications including Pitocin, misoprostol, methergine, hemabate, magnesium sulfate, terbutaline, labetalol, nifedipine, hydralazine, and insulin. Stabilize the newborn immediately after birth. Administer newborn medications and prepare for scheduled or emergency cesarean deliveries. Assess and care for postpartum patients (both vaginal and cesarean deliveries) and newborn patients. Perform newborn care tasks, which include hearing screens, assisting with laboratory draws, starts and care of IVs, and medication administration. Assist with circumcisions and care for newborns undergoing opiate withdrawal.
