Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: ED - Emergency Department - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 07/28/2025 - Duration: 12 weeks - 48 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel ob Title: Emergency Room (ER) Registered Nurse – Nights (36 or 48 Hours/Week) Shift: Night Shift (Option for 36 or 48 hours/week) Contract Type: Travel/Contract RN Job Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN) for night shifts at a busy, community-based Emergency Department. This is an excellent opportunity for experienced ER nurses looking to work in a fast-paced environment with exposure to diverse medical conditions and critical care situations. First-time travelers are welcome, provided they have 2-3 years of recent ER experience in a progressive or acute setting. Key Responsibilities: - Deliver high-quality, compassionate care to patients in a community ED setting. - Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for a wide range of medical and trauma patients. - Perform and assist with special procedures including: - Chest Tubes, RSI, Central Lines, Paracentesis, Thoracentesis, Splinting - Procedural Sedation, Vacuum D&C, Restraints - US-Guided IVs - Respond quickly to emergency situations such as STEMIs, strokes, major trauma, and pediatric emergencies prior to transfer. - Document patient care accurately and timely using [specify EMR if known]. - Communicate effectively with physicians, patients, and interdisciplinary team members.
