Overview Summary:The Administrative Nursing Supervisor
facilitates timely and safe patient flow and provides management
and operational oversight of the acute care hospital setting, and
ensures the provision of safe, quality patient care. Type of

Schedule: Varied Days and Hours Responsibilities
Responsibilities:*Serves as a clinical resource agent to nursing
units and allied health departments for problem solving, within a
given shift.*Coordinates, prioritizes, and optimizes patient flow
activities. Facilitates processes daily to expedite patient
movement within the hospital and throughout the organization as
well as non-PHS facilities.*Participates in evaluation of the
patient with the care team to determine level of care/patient
placement. *Provides and supports oversight of staffing resources
in coordination with department leadership. Approves or facilitates
placement of staffing resources.*Ensures a visible and collegial
leadership presence throughout the facility and shift. Responds to
all codes and events both internally and externally. Serves as a
leadership resource for Presbyterian Health Services policies,
procedures, legal and risk issues, and compliance and regulatory
standards and accrediting agencies.*Responds and resolves team
member, patient, family member, and provider concerns, and provides
follow-up with appropriate individuals.*Provides support,
education, coaching, and mentoring to team members.*Assists
personnel and families in all circumstances that surround death of
a patient, facilitating arrangements for autopsies, organ, and
tissue donation and /or verification of referrals to the Office of
Medical Investigators.*Serves as the facilitator for patient
matters concerning the American Disability Act, language and/or
cultural issues; facilitating assistance as needed within the
facility.*Manages human resource related functions; not limited to
interviewing, onboarding, -, coaching to expectations with
standards for care and/or conduct and providing input to department
leaders.*Provides crisis management support and coordinates
follow-up actions with the Administrator-on-call (AOC) and/or
department leaders.*Initiate Hospital Incident Command (HICS) for
the management of internal and external incidents (emergency
situations) or events which affect the ability to provide services.
Serves as the Incident Commander for all HICS events until the
hospital administrator arrives on the scene.*Maintains reasonably
regular, punctual attendance consistent with Presbyterian Health
Services policies, the ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and
local standards.*Maintains compliance with all Presbyterian Health
Services policies and procedures.*Interacts and coordinates
activities with a variety of local and out of state health care
agents, including PHS regional facilities, EMS, and community
members.*Upholds and exemplifies CARES commitments utilizing models

Qualifications Other information:*Associates of Nursing degree from
an accredited school*NM licensed RN*5 years of relevant experience
(acute care-tele or above) and/or leadership nursing
