Job Description:
Overview: Presbyterian is seeking a dedicated and compassionate
Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our dynamic Emergency
Department team. The LPN will provide patient-centered care in a
fast-paced, high-acuity environment under the supervision of
registered nurses (RNs) and physicians. This role requires strong
clinical skills, quick decision-making, and the ability to manage
multiple priorities while ensuring quality care and patient safety.
Type of Opportunity: Full Time (0.9 FTE/36 hours per week) Work

Qualifications: ---Education: High School Diploma or GED
---Credentials: Licensed Practical Nurse-NM or out of state compact
LPN license ---BLS required at time of hire ---PDS IV Certification
course (within orientation period) ---Basic Cardiac Arrythmias
(BCA) for areas where cardiac telemetry monitoring is used (prior
to ACLS) ---ACLS (within 6 months of being hired) for areas where
required Responsibilities: --- Provide direct patient care,
including taking vital signs, administering medications, and
performing basic medical procedures as permitted by state
regulations. --- Assist in the triage process by gathering patient
information and documenting symptoms and medical histories. ---
Monitor and report changes in patient condition to RNs and
physicians. --- Assist with wound care, IV therapy, splinting, and
other procedures as directed. --- Support patients and families by
providing education and emotional reassurance during critical
situations. --- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the
electronic health record (EHR). --- Collaborate with the
interdisciplinary team to ensure seamless patient care. --- Uphold
infection control practices and maintain a safe environment for
patients and staff. --- Participate in emergency response
situations and contribute to team efforts during critical events.
