Overview:The Progressive Care RN (Acute Care Step-down) at Presbyterian Hospital is responsible for the coordination of nursing care including direct patient care, patient/family education and transitions of care. This unit provides patient-focused, specialized care to patients requiring telemetry monitoring for various Cardiovascular disorders, including Cardiac arrhythmias and heart failure. Patients recovering from myocardial infarction, coronary intervention, and electrophysiology procedures are also cared for on this unit.The Cardiac Progressive Units provide quality care through a collaborative, interdisciplinary approach. We strive to provide the best professional patient care during our patients stay, followed by personalized discharge planning to meet outpatient needs.Neuro Step-Down Units:The Neuro Step Down Unit is a dedicated team of high-performing nurses providing exceptional patient care within the 29-bed unit.This unit is highly specialized neurology Step-Down, dedicated to the special care required for patients who are recovering from neurosurgery, or neurological injuries to include psych patients.
