Job Description:
UNM Medical Group, Inc. is hiring for a Radiology Tech CT
Simulator to join our UNM Comprehensive Cancer Center. This is a
Monday through Friday job with schedules from 6:00am-3pm,
7:00am-4:00pm or 8:00am-5:00pm located in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
There will also be weekend call shifts. This position will be
required to attend the Radiation Therapy school which is
approximately a one year program.
Salary determined based on years of experience
More About This Opportunity:
The selected individual will be required to attend Radiation
Therapy School after one year of employment. The radiation therapy
program tuition will be paid by UNMCCC with a contract to work as a
Radiation Therapist for three years after passing the board exam.
If the individual fails or quits the radiation therapy school, the
employee would reimburse UNMCCC all monies paid for school.
Note: This position is designed to prepare the Radiation Tech/CT
Sim for Radiation Therapy school (RTT program) and is not meant to
be a position for continuous employment. The selected candidate
must have a minimum cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 2.5 or
greater.
Summary
Under general supervision, performs prescribed radiologic,
ultrasound, and/or CT procedures requiring specialized knowledge
and skills in support of the provision of diagnostic and/or
therapeutic services to a specified patient population. May prepare
and administer various chemical mixtures as appropriate to the
nature of the procedures being carried out. May work in a research
or clinical environment.
Minimum Job Requirements of a Radiology Tech CT Simulator:
American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) Certification.
State of NM RRT License. No experience required. Completed degree
from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education
requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year
basis. Verification of education and licensure will be required if
selected for hire.
