IntroductionThe Corporate Contracts group in Applied Research
Associates (ARA) is looking for a Senior Government Contracts
Administrator with 5-7 years of experience in FAR/DFAR based
government contracts. This position supports Program Managers and
Senior Executives of the ARA Divisions throughout the US, as well
as inter-departmental staff at corporate headquarters in
Albuquerque, NM. The ideal candidate has experience on the SELLER
side of government contracts with extensive knowledge in FAR /
DFAR. The right application will entail excellent communication and
customer service skills, works well in a team environment, is
detail-oriented and organized.This position is part of the
Albuquerque, NM based Corporate Contracts team however, there is
potential for a virtual assignment. Job Responsibilities:
- Administers contracts, including negotiation, correspondence,
documentation, certification, for major contracts.
- Coordinates approval of negotiations, contracts, and
subcontracts with appropriate management staff.
- Advises program managers and senior executives on Data Rights
Assertions and IP protection.
- Provides advice and interpretation of contract requirements to
program managers and senior executives.
- Administers contract terms from proposal stage to project
close-out in accordance with relevant regulations.
- Supports preparation of cost proposals including pricing review
and cost proposal risk assessment; leads organizational conflict of
interest assessments.
- Prepares and/or reviews non-disclosure agreements, teaming
agreements, and other miscellaneous contractual documents
- Coordinates with program managers to ensure contract
requirements are fulfilled.
- Maintains current knowledge of relevant contractual procedures
and practices. Required Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field.
(Experience may be counted in lieu of degree, two years of
experience is equivalent to one year of college)
- Knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), Defense
Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS), and other
government agency supplements
- Must be customer service focused and have excellent time
management skills
- Ability to prioritize, plan and analyze and execute multiple
and complex contract related activities
- Entail strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Must be detail-oriented, proactive, and well organized
- Requires ability to communicate well (both verbal and written),
and work collaboratively as team members and/or on an individual
basis
- Intermediate skill level
