Position Summary:The Director of Cage Operations is a senior
administrative officer that is responsible for the administration,
coordination and direction of all Cage Operations. Effectively
supervises the Assistant Cage Manager, Cage Supervisors, Main
Bankers, and Cashiers, while ensuring the protection of all company
assets within the Cage. Is capable of filling any Cage position on
any shift (Supervisor, Main Banker, Cashier) as required.
Communicates directly with guests, management, and other Casino
personnel, and must maintain a professional demeanor and a positive
attitude at all times. Possesses and engages strong interpersonal
and communication skills. Oversees the Vault Impress, and is
responsible for ensuring that there are adequate funds to support
operations. Oversee Cage compliance with regulatory controls,
policies, and procedures. Remains flexible and adaptable and must
be able to work all shifts and all days, including Holidays as
necessary or assigned.Note: Native American preference will be
given.Duties & Responsibilities:
- Establishes performance standards (KPIs) for all direct reports
in support of Strategic Goals and Objectives.
- Develops and implements effective strategies aligned with
Corporate Goals, setting clear objectives that drive future
growth.
- Maintains appropriate staffing levels, by interviewing,
selecting, training, scheduling, evaluating, promoting, and
disciplining team members.
- Develop personal growth plans and succession planning models to
encourage the development of staff seeking to excel.
- Delegate's responsibility and authority to the appropriate
manager or supervisor about various aspects of cage
operations.
- Ensures a maximum level of customer service and satisfaction by
setting an example of commitment and dedication.
- Maintains accuracy and clarity in verbal, written, and
electronic communications.
- Develop and communicate internal and interdepartmental
memorandums.
- Analyze areas of concern within the Cage, isolate solutions,
and achieve resolutions in a professional manner.
- Evaluate Cage Policies and Procedures and revise as
appropriate.
- Receive and interpret communications from Surveillance,
Compliance, and the Gaming Commission and determine appropriate
course of action.
- Investigate variances, determine course of action and
communicate with appropriate parties.
- Investigate guest disputes, determine course of action and
communicate to appropriate parties.
- Complete performance and salary management exercises as
requested by HR and the General Manager.
- Accurately process time/payroll entries for direct
reports.
- Adhere to Cage budget while also making necessary purchases to
support operations.
- Facilitate Quarterly training on Cage Policies and Procedures
and Internal Controls.
- Oversee the development and approval of Cage employee
schedules.
- Ensure Cage Impress levels are maintained such that they meet
business needs.
- Confirm Currency and Coin orders and stipulate deposits such
that they comply with Impress thresholds.
- Conduct analysis of Kiosk and ATM Impress amounts and make
recommendations for reductions and/or increases.
- Prepare and revise Cashier and Fill Bank Impress amounts based
on transaction analysis.
- Prepare and revise Interdepartmental Bank Impress amounts as
specified by Departmental Directors and Managers.This list of

Education:
- Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university or
equivalent combination of education and experience in management
roles where success has been demonstrated and recognized.
- Five (5) to ten (10) years' experience in business operations
preferably in the Gaming Industry.
- Five (5) years management experience in a director level
position.
- Strong leadership and communication skills and ability to
present to various stakeholder levels.
- Broad-based computer system skills and operational
technologies.
- Strong mathematics skills and ability to operate a 10-key
calculator.Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university or
equivalent combination of education and experience in management
roles where success has been demonstrated and recognized.
- Five (5) to ten (10) years' experience in business operations
preferably in the Gaming Industry.
- Five (5) years management experience in a director level
position.
- Use of a Coin sorter, Currency counter, and 10-key
calculator.
- Advanced computer knowledge, including the use of MS Word,
Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Ability to solve problems and deal with a variety of concrete
variables in situations where only limited standardization
exists.
- Must be 21 years old or older.
- Knowledge of the process for handling Traveler's Checks,
Personal Checks, electronic Checks, Debit and Credit cards.
- Must be able to successfully pass a pre-employment drug/alcohol
screen, background investigation, and obtain and maintain a gaming
license from the Pueblo of Tesuque Gaming Commission.Supervisory
Responsibilities:The Director of Cage Operations is responsible for
overseeing managers, supervisors and employees in the Cage
department, ensuring alignment with departmental and organizational
objectives. This position provides guidance and assistance in
addressing unusual situations that may arise, particularly those
without clear precedents or requiring interpretation of policies
and regulations.Physical Requirements:While performing the duties
of this job, the employee will be required to sit and stand for
prolonged periods of time. The Employee is required to kneel, bend,
squat, walk, and remain mobile for prolonged periods of time. The
Employee will use fingers, hands and arms to conduct repetitious
movements and tasks, and must be able to lift thirty (30) lbs. The
Employee must be able to talk and hear in an environment with
varying noise levels. The work is performed inside a highly
regulated environment where the Employee may be required to remain,
without the ability to regularly exit internal offices (Cash Cage).
Some travel may be required for the position and a company cell
phone may be required to conduct business. The Director of Cage
Operations must remain accessible via phone twenty-four hours a
day.Work Environment:Work is generally performed in a casino
setting with a high noise level. Due to the nature and scope of
this position, evenings, weekends, holidays, and extended hours and
