Job Description:
The Superintendent will manage the successful completion of
assigned projects and overseeing job site safety, quality
production, project scheduling, and communication with onsite
contractors, inspectors in field and constructability issues. This
position works closely and reports to the general manager.
Responsibilities and Qualifications Plan, organize, and direct
production of contracted scope of work. Identify and resolve
conflicts in a timely manner. Manage, evaluate, and develop field
project team members, specifically assistant superintendents. Lead
EIG's standards of safety (IFE), quality, and CBPs. Manage,
evaluate and train field project team members. Study schedules and
estimate worker-hour requirements for completion of job. Analyze
and resolve work problems. Interpret specifications, blueprints,
and job orders as needed for area of supervision. Detect, recognize
and respond to dangerous conditions or situations. Interprets
company policies to workers and enforces safety regulations.
Performs other duties as required. Ensure that installations are
performed in accordance with master specifications, standard
installation details, state and local codes. Attend weekly group
meetings, review and update the schedule with construction manager,
review RFI's, change orders. Collaborate with a diverse number of
system owners, engineers, technicians, and trades. Utilizing best
practices to increase work quality. Responsible for maintaining and
driving company vehicle Minimum 4 years of management experience in
construction industry. EL-1J license a plus. Journeyman Wireman a
plus. Experience installing and mounting electronic controls,
device panels, sensors, and components. Ability to appropriately
diagnose malfunctions in systems, apparatus, and components using
test. Experience in verifying the compliance and functionality of
installations of power systems (lighting, fire protection,
security, and data networks). Effective participation in team
environment. Pass a drug test. Valid driver's license; and valid
journeyman license. Experience studying work orders, building
plans, and installation manuals to determine materials requirements
and installations procedures. Experience with High, Medium, and Low
Voltage, to include sub stations, switch gears, breakers, and
general power distribution. Able to read and interpret blueprints
(all trades) and specifications for advanced work layout and
planning. Perform work at heights from ladders, scaffolds, aerial
lifts, cat walks, roofs, or other areas occasionally or as job
requires. Skilled at using basic office/business equipment and
communication devices such as cell phone, personal computer, fax,
scanner, office printer, etc. Work in all elements (heat, cold,
rain, snow, etc.) daily. Able to positively identify colors of
wires. Knowledge of NETA requirements and standards is an asset.
Understand and perform basic math functions and tape measurement.
