DescriptionThe Program Director is responsible for coordination and
management of the overall program. The priority areas of
responsibility include ensuring orientation and ongoing training of
staff, and ensuring all aspects of the program are developed,
implemented, coordinated, and monitored to the greatest degree
possible. The Program Director should have direct communication and
access to the Director and all supervisors within the
organization.Responsibilities:
- Coordination and management of the overall operations, medical,
financial, and maintenance aspects of the assigned programs.
- Responsible for overseeing implementation of individual support
and behavioral plans, Dungarvin policies and procedures, assess the
needs of an individual on a continual basis
- Coordinate and facilitate communication for Interdisciplinary
team members that may include case managers, day service
representatives, family or legal guardians, and neighbors.
- Have a working knowledge of individuals' current medical
conditions. Oversee management of medication, Dr. Appointments, and
maintain and review all documentation concerning medical
information.
- Responsible for Interviewing, hiring, evaluations, and
maintaining proper training and development of high quality staff
for direct support professional positions.
- Maintain schedules for multiple sites; submit payroll
information in a timely manner.QualificationsPrior experience in
developing and implementing individual programs, budget
implementation and in supervising others is desired. Must have good
decision-making, time management, and communication skills, and be
responsible, mature and flexible.Bachelor's degree in a Human
Services related field is preferred, and two years experience in
working with the developmentally disabled. Candidates without a
bachelors level degree may be considered if they have working
experience within the Human Services field that includes at least 5
years direct experience in supervision and management. Must be
proficient in basic computer skills including Microsoft Office,
Word, Excel, and Outlook.Additional Information
