Overview

The Manager Central Supply is responsible for the leadership and direction of assigned facilities Central Supply, central inventory, par replenishment, OR inventory, case picking, internal distribution, call deliveries, specialty carts, DME management, patient charging for supplies and equipment; and responsible for optimizing labor, inventory, equipment and technology resources to provide the highest-valued, customer-focused logistical services to the departments served.Type of Opportunity: Full Time FTE: 1.000000 Exempt: Yes Work Schedule: Days

Qualifications

* Bachelor degree; 6 years of additional experience can be substituted in lieu of degree.
* 3+ years experience in healthcare supply chain operations management

Essential: * Bachelor Degree

Responsibilities

* Develop Central Supply business plan with goals, objectives, initiatives and tactics to achieve the expected outcomes, process improvements and service levels (KPIs).*Manage Central Supply staffs with an emphasis on talent development, teamwork, and job satisfaction (Strive); conduct annual evaluations and development planning; lead recruitment, hiring, promotion/demotion, disciplinary counseling, and termination or reassignment activities*Organize staffs and resources to execute initiatives and tactics effectively and efficiently, and monitor and report progress; elevate issues and concerns timely*Manage all staff scheduling and assignments to ensure all work functions and requirements are completed effectively and at the highest standards*Support the design and implementation of supply chain inventory management and replenishment models to optimize labor and inventories ; conduct cycle counts and physical inventories as required*Optimize the use of Lawson and available technologies to better perform tasks, and to improve services and outcomes*Ensure 100% compliance with all Federal and State healthcare regulations, TJC standards, and PHS Policies and Procedures*Manage the patient charging system for applicable supplies, services, and equipment in order to optimize revenue, streamline processes, and increase nursing/user satisfaction*Participate in and support Supply Chain s emergency/disaster preparedness and response, and support PHS Hospital Incident Command System (HICS) efforts*Actively support Supply Chain Formulary enforcement; and provide leadership for addressing back-orders, stock-outs, substitutes, trials, conversions, and recalls*Support proactive evaluation of PHS supplies, services, and equipment usage trends and recommend operational process improvements*Support holding key logistical suppliers accountable for service standards, e.g., acute supply distributor, non-acute supply distributor, DME supplier, courier services, freight management, UPS/FedEx, etc.*Support education and communications plans for all user-departments and key stakeholders to ensure compliance with Supply Chain Policies and Procedures and to improve customer satisfaction*Assist in annual department operational and capital budget s, and manage Logistics operations to meet/exceed approved budgets*Stay abreast of industry best practices and trends and recommend operational improvements to Director, Supply Chain Logistics and VP, Supply Chain*Other tasks as assigned
