Farm Credit of New Mexico is seeking to hire an action-oriented and collaborative Vice President of Agribusiness Strategy to take the lead in g rowing and managing the Association's participation and syndication loan purchases. The ideal hire will have at least seven years' experience in agricultural lending and experience in Capital Markets. The position is headquartered in Albuquerque, New Mexico with consideration for remote work. Key Responsibilities:

• Grow and manage the Association's participation and syndication loan purchases
• Collaborate with the VP of Credit - Participations to create and implement Agribusiness strategies to achieve business plan objectives
• Lead the AgVantis Participation Partner (APP) relationships
• Lead FCNM sub-participation and APP sales strategy. Collaborates with Participations Credit Team to execute the strategy
• Make decisions related to marketing strategies, credit participation relationships, operating procedures and credit decisions.
• Organize and attend meetings with participation partners to review investment strategy and performance
• Identify and pursue opportunities to create new relationships with credible originators/sellers and buyers/participation partners and purchase new participation and syndication loans
• Evaluate opportunities and makes recommendations to purchase loans which adhere to Purchase Loan Standards (PLS) and ensure portfolio diversification Minimum Experience and Qualifications
  • Strong commitment and adherence to personal values that align with the Farm Credit of New Mexico culture and code of ethics
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Agricultural Economics or related field
  • 7 years minimum of progressive experience, preferably within the Farm Credit System or other Capital Markets field
  • Expert knowledge of agricultural lending practices and the financial services industry
  • Expert knowledge of agricultural markets and macro-economic trends
  • Exceptional communication skills

  • Strong analysis, judgment and strategic thinking
  • Thorough understanding of the laws and regulations governing financial institutions.
