Job Description:

other federal agencies. Join our team as a Principal Optical
Systems Engineer where you will be integral in supporting national
security missions through your expertise in optical systems. You
will lead the development and integration of complex optical
systems and ensure their performance and reliability meet stringent
requirements. Design, analyze, and develop optical and photonic
systems for defense and intelligence applications. Lead
multidisciplinary teams in the development and testing of new
optical components and systems. Coordinate with other engineering
teams to integrate optical systems with electronic and mechanical
systems. Prepare technical reports and documentation for project
stakeholders. Oversee the quality assurance and reliability testing
of optical components and systems. Stay abreast of advancements in
optical technology and recommend innovative solutions to improve
system capabilities. Advanced skills in optical design software
(e.g., ZEMAX, LightTools). Strong understanding of optical physics
and engineering principles. Ability to work collaboratively in a
multidisciplinary team environment. Proficient in data analysis and
technical problem-solving. Excellent communication and
documentation skills. Certification in optical engineering or
professional engineering license is highly desirable.
