Overview
Summary:Working independently is responsible for instructing and
checking the work of other engineers. Manages the purchase,
installation, and support of network communications, including
LAN/WAN systems. Responsible for evaluating current systems. Works
on the most complex problems where analysis of situation requires
in-depth evaluation of various factors. Plans large scale systems
projects through vendor comparison and cost studies. Provides work
leadership and training to lower level network engineers. Requires
expert knowledge of LAN/WAN systems, networks, and
applications.

Other information:Bachelor's degree in related technical/business
area plus 6 years' of IT or business experience. 6 years' of
additional experience can be substituted in lieu of degree. CCNA
certification

Responsibilities
Responsibilities:Provides expert technical support for data
communications networks. Participate in the implementation,
integration, and performance of IT Infrastructure SystemsPerforms
packet sniffing for network protocols (to include: IP, IPX/SPX,
SNA, etc). Analysis performed at the transport layers may be
provided to other I/S staff to assist in problem resolution.Designs
all configuration parameters for the LAN edge equipment, to ensure
up to date software releases for this class of equipmentDesigns
standards established by the data network team when installing new
devices on the data network, and follows appropriate change
management processes within PHS.Installs, maintains, supports,
enhances, and repairs data communications network hardware.Provides
and maintains expertise in the use and maintenance of data network
management systems. Ensures that network administrator is advised
of all changes made to the data network environment

Offer Disclaimer The compensation range for this role takes into
account a wide range of factors, including but not limited to
experience and training, internal equity, and other business and
organizational needs. Compensation decisions are dependent upon the
facts and circumstances of each offer.
Minimum Offer USD $41.82/Hr.
Maximum Offer USD $63.87/Hr.
