ObjectiveResponsiveTrustedSPA assists the Defense Threat Reduction
Agency (DTRA) in developing leading edge technologies to counter
WMD in support of CCMDs and transitioning these technologies to
military services and COCOMsSPA provides expertise across the full
range of chemical, biological, radiological, nuclear and high-yield
explosives (CBRNE) WMD, Counter Improvised Threat and Countering
Threat Network technologies to support understanding, detection,
identification, characterization, denial, control, disabling,
defeating, disposing, safeguarding the force, managing
consequences, and test and evaluation in support of military and
civilian operationsSPA has a near term need for a Nuclear Weapons
Instructor/SMEResponsibilities SME and Instructor applying in-depth
knowledge and thorough understanding of nuclear policyThis
Performance Requirement includes: 1) Developing and delivering
course material covering explosive ordnance disposal techniques and
render safe operations, 2) Preparing and presenting course
materials covering SNuclear Weapons operational and physical
characteristics, delivery system, and nuclear weapons effects, 3)
Providing technical advice and training on all aspects of nuclear
weapons, 4) Maintaining current course curriculum to ensure content
is accurate and up to date, 4) Developing and updating course
materials pertinent to Joint Nuclear EOD, 5) Effectively
communicating to senior leadership through briefings,
presentations, written/verbal correspondence, and other means as
necessary, that can be understood at multiple levels, and 6)
Providing instruction to an interagency audience that includes DOD,
Department of Energy (DOE), Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI)
and other agencies as requiredQualifications Required
Qualifications:--- 15 years experience and a MA/MS; or 20 years
experience and a BA/BS.--- Requires in-depth knowledge and thorough
understanding of Joint Nuclear EOD procedures, techniques, and
standards.--- 5-10 years DoD/military experience, with at least 3
years at a custodial unit or stabilization unit or other dedicated
WMD unit.--- Current TS with the ability to maintain during time of
employment.
