Position Summary
Are you a seeking a unique marketing job opportunity in a creative,
innovative, and active environment? The School of Architecture and
Planning welcomes applications for a Marketing Manager to enhance
the profile and recruitment efforts of the School at local and
national levels through coordinated communication and marketing
strategies. This is the ideal job for an established writer who has
prior experience in higher education as well as the fields of
marketing and public relations and is looking for the next step in
a marketing and communication career.
The Marketing Manager will work directly with the Dean and School's
leadership team to plan and implement communication and marketing
campaigns, develop strategic marketing goals and initiatives as
well as design and edit promotional materials through various
written and social media platforms.
The School of Architecture and Planning is seeking a dynamic and
professional individual who demonstrates strength in writing and
content creation, including knowledge of related skills such as
graphic design, videography, social media and website content. The
successful candidate will demonstrate an energetic and creative
approach to communication strategies in marketing and public
relations, a collaborative team spirit, and have a keen interest in
the design disciplines and professions of architecture, planning
and landscape architecture.
The School of Architecture and Planning is housed in George Pearl
Hall on UNM's main campus. This unique facility was designed by
internationally renowned architect Antoine Predock. The School
offers the only professional accredited graduate degree programs in
architecture, landscape architecture, and community and regional
planning in the state of New Mexico. The School also offers
graduate certificates in Historic Preservation & Regionalism and
Urban Innovation. In addition, the School boasts the Indigenous
Design and Planning Institute, the only institute in the United
States focused on Native American and indigenous design and
planning issues and concepts.

Conditions of Employment
Bachelor's degree; at least 5 years of experience directly related
to the duties and responsibilities specified.
Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above
the minimum education requirement may be substituted for
experience.
