Job Description Job Description Staff Accountant Location: Albuquerque, NM Pay Range: $50,000 - $60,000 DOE Schedule: Onsite, Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM Contract: Minimum 3-month contract, with potential extension based on performance and business needs Position Summary We are looking for a skilled Staff Accountant to join our client's team in Albuquerque. This role will focus on maintaining accurate financial records, supporting month-end processes, and support payroll processing while ensuring compliance with accounting standards. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment. Primary Responsibilities Maintain and update the general ledger, ensuring all transactions are recorded accurately Perform reconciliations between internal records and bank statements Manage accounts payable and receivable, including invoice processing and payment tracking Prepare financial reports such as balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities, including accruals and adjustments Ensure compliance with GAAP, tax regulations, and internal policies Support internal and external audit processes by providing necessary documentation Identify opportunities for process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field Minimum of two years of professional accounting experience Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail Proficiency in accounting software and solid understanding of GAAP principles Excellent organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines Pay Details: $50,000.00 to $60,000.00 per year Search managed by: Angela Walton Benefit offerings available for our associates include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, additional voluntary benefits, EAP program, commuter benefits and a 401K plan.
