The Senior Accountant will play a crucial role in maintaining and controlling the General Ledger accounts and business transactions of the organization, applying GAAP guidelines, including analytical work and thorough review of financial records. Responsibilities:The Senior Accountant will be responsible for a variety of tasks including, but not limited to:

• Manage and oversee all aspects of the accounting functions including G/L, fixed assets, and reconciliations.
• Prepare, examine, and analyze accounting records, financial statements, and other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance to reporting and procedural standards.
• Perform monthly, quarterly and annual accounting activities including reconciliations of bank and credit card accounts, coordination and completion of annual audits, and reviewing financial reports/support as necessary.
• Assist with the closing of monthly and annual financial periods.
• Understand and apply GAAP accounting principles.
• Assist with tax audits and tax returns.Qualifications:The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:
  • A Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting or related field.
  • Strong understanding of GAAP accounting principles.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, especially in Excel, and experience with accounting software.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and organize and prioritize work to meet deadlines.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage well through ambiguity and complexity.
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions based on accurate and timely analyses.
